Football Festival 2018
Snow didn’t stop play at the St Andrew’s Prep Football Festival last week.
More than 300 boys and girls, aged 7 to 10 years old, representing 30 teams from local primary schools and football clubs, gathered for the seventh St Andrew’s Prep Football Festival.
With the emphasis on enjoyment and skill development, each team played a number of mini-matches on the school pitches at the foot of the South Downs. There were no winners or losers but every child received a medal and certificate for their determined efforts.
St Andrew’s Prep Headmaster, Gareth Jones said, “We’re delighted that the weather didn’t deter teams from turning up. This festival is all about fun for the local football community and who doesn’t love a bit of football in the snow? Thank you to all those who helped stage the event.”
