St Andrew’s Prep fundraises over £2K for Mary’s Meals
At St Andrew’s Prep we support a number local and global charities from which our pupils learn the values of solidarity and become aware of their role within society. On Monday, Peter Higgins, Director of Mary’s Meals, received a cheque in assembly for £2,277.77 and spoke to the children about the work that Mary’s Meals does, providing one good meal to some of the world’s poorest children every school day. The charity works in 17 countries across Africa, Asia, Latin America, Eastern Europe and the Caribbean, meeting the immediate needs of hungry children and encouraging them to go to school to gain an education that can, in the future, be their ladder out of poverty.
