Off to the national hockey finals 2019
Huge congratulations to the U13 boys hockey team who have qualified for the IAPS national Hockey finals after finishing in third place at the regionals this week. We finished as the top Sussex performing prep school after a day of very exciting and high-level hockey. The St Andrew’s Prep team finished second in their pool, winning five and losing one of their matches. In the quarter final they played against Lambrook and the boys won 3-0 to take them into the semi-finals.
They lost the semi-final 2-1, but in the third place play-off they pulled off a win with Sam scoring in the last minute so the team secured a place in the finals.
The boys can’t wait to play in the finals at Millfield in March along with New Beacon and Edgeborough from this part of the country.
