St Andrew’s Prep Rugby Festival 2019
St Andrew’s Prep was delighted to host its inaugural mini rugby festival on Sunday with 19 club teams aged U10 and U11 from across the county committing to play. Over 200 children took part, cheered on by supporting parents, friends and coaches. The inclement weather did nothing to dampen the spirits and the atmosphere was immensely positive with parents, friends and coaches offering their support. Each team learnt from the experience and everyone was kept well fed and watered with delicious bacon butties and an endless supply of tea, coffee and cakes on offer, with a contribution going to the school’s charity, Cystic Fibrosis. The added bonus was that the tournament ran like clockwork so everyone was back home in time to watch the England Rugby team’s emphatic victory against France.
