IAPS National Hockey Finals 2019
Many congratulations to the boys’ 1st hockey team who represented the school at the IAPS National Finals at Millfield this week, finishing a highly commendable 14th in the country.
Earlier in the season, more than 95 teams set out in regional tournaments across the UK in the hope of claiming one of the 20 sought-after places in the finals this week.
The school has capitalised on the expert coaching of 1992 Olympian, Rob Hill, Head of Hockey at Eastbourne College, to inspire and guide the boys to their successful season.
Headmaster, Gareth Jones said, “I am immensely proud of the boys. They have played superbly throughout the season; supporting and complementing each other’s’ skills while working extremely hard on their tactics and communication. They have grown in confidence as the season has progressed and I am confident that they will be a force for good for any team in the future.”
