Sixty Five Roses Summer Ball 2019
Last Saturday, the Friends of St Andrew’s welcomed parents, staff and friends to the Sixty Five Roses Summer Ball. The event took place in the picturesque Ocean Suite on Eastbourne Pier and provided the opportunity to raise funds for the fabulous Cystic Fibrosis Trust, represented by Claire, who talked about the work and impact of the charity.
To raise funds, the venue was decorated with confetti-filled balloons which guests popped to unveil prizes worth between £20 and £300. The silent auction was also very popular while the main auction, led by Grant McFarlane and Alex Brown, included some wonderfully inventive lots including the opportunity to be the Headmaster for a day. Entertainment was provided by the fantastic Big Kahunas Band who had everybody up on the dance floor.
The ball has raised £14,500. Thank you to the Friends of St Andrew’s for organising the event, to our auctioneers Grant and Alex and to the Big Kahunas Band.
The Cystic Fibrosis Trust aims to work towards a brighter future for everyone with cystic fibrosis by funding cutting-edge research, driving up standards of care and supporting people with the condition and their loved ones every step of the way.
