More than £8,000 raised for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust
Thank you to all those who supported our events through the last academic year to raise funds for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust.
From the Colour Run to the Quiz and Bonfire Nights to the Christmas and Summer Fairs, support for this wonderful charity from the whole school community was in plentiful supply.
As a result, a cheque presentation ceremony this week saw Oscar, Percy and Nancy, together with the Headmaster Mr Jones and the Chair of the Friends of St Andrew’s, Catherine Fellows, hand over a cheque for an almighty 8,393.11 to the charity’s representative, Claire Phillips.
Claire thanked the children and took the opportunity to speak to them about how the money would be used to support those with the condition and their loved ones and she explained the charity’s aim to work towards a brighter future for everyone with cystic fibrosis by funding cutting-edge research and driving up standards of care.
