St Andrew’s Day 2019
We’re helping the children to make wonderful memories, and fun was the order of the day on St Andrew’s day.
As tradition dictates, the Pre-Prep children started the proceedings in gentle fashion with a hat parade of dazzling creations. From castles, rugby pitches and birthday cakes to hot air balloons, a fully laid café table and a bowl of fruit, the hats were a millinery treat for the eyes.
Then, after a formal service led by Headmaster, Mr Jones, our Year 8 children ‘took charge of the school’ and organised games around the site including obstacle courses and mazes, a pie in the face opportunity, a glow in the dark experience and a haunted trip to the movies.
A roast lunch with all the trimming followed, providing the children with an opportunity to replenish their energies and get ready for the much anticipated St Andrew’s Day show. Arranged and hosted by our gap year students, the extravaganza included dancing, songs and sketch shows from our pupils and some hilarious skits from some eager staff too!
It’s all over for another year but will be etched on the children’s memories for years to come.
