Madcap ‘Professor’ visits for British Science Week
To mark the beginning of British Science Week, we were visited by the Zany chemist, pyrotechnician, teacher and magician Ian Dunne!
Children from Pre-Prep to Year 8 were enthralled by the self-proclaimed professor and stand-up scientist who amazed with flying sparks, cotton wool balls of fire, a talking cat, eggs that don’t break (they were rubber actually!) and lotions and potions. His fast-paced, madcap Magic-Science-Science-Magic delivery had the children captivated and involved throughout his presentation which was all underpinned with sound scientific explanation.
British Science Week celebrates science, technology, engineering and maths. The theme for 2020 is ‘Our diverse planet’.
