Design, Technology and Innovation
Exploring Technologies and Developing Creativity
Our curriculum gives pupils the skills and understanding to positively engage with the designed and made world, learning to use technology to enhance our lives. Through logical, creative and practical projects they learn how products and systems are designed and manufactured. Pupils use our range of resources, including computer aided design and digital technologies to innovatively design and make products. They work independently and in teams to solve engineering and design problems to improve the world around them.
Our rich and varied DTI curriculum encompasses a wide range of topics which include: control systems, electronics, engineering, modern materials, textiles, structures, mechanisms, computer aided design and manufacture and a variety of projects using different resistant materials.
We also offer extra-curricular clubs throughout the year and enter pupils into Design & Technology competitions.
