A spooktacular tea party!
The EAL department hosted a spooktastic tea party for our international pupils to celebrate Hallowe’en. They shared and learnt how this celebration is observed in a number of countries on the 31 October. Did you know that the origins of Hallowe’en date back to the ancient Celtic festival of ‘Samhain’? Hallowe’en marks the eve of the Western Christian feast of All Hallows’ Day. It begins the three three-day observance of Allhallowtide, the time in the liturgical year dedicated to remembering the dead, including saints (hallows), martyrs, and all the faithful departed.
