Adventure Boyz premiere
What better way to spend a bank holiday weekend than to watch a feature film, in which you have been involved, on a big screen. A packed Hailsham Pavilion lapped up the fantastic Adventure Boyz starring our very own St Andrew’s Prep pupils Felix and Rory Ford. The film was directed and co- produced by the boys’ mother and father, Howard and Alicia Ford with Howard playing a central role too.
Filmed on site at St Andrew’s Prep as well Eastbourne College and taking in the beautiful South Downs, quaint towns and the magnificent Herstmonceux Castle all in the schools’ locality, the film showed off the stunning position of the schools’ settings on the south Coast with an anti-bullying, blue health theme running through it.
“The cinema was packed with actors from the film as well as some of the boys friends who were extras in the film. One said, “OMG. That was just awesome. I just want to sit down again right now and watch it all over again”. Her parent said, “What a great adventure film. Full of fun, action and humour which will appeal to the whole family”.
The film is to be shown at the Cannes Film Festival later this month and returns to Hailsham during the summer holidays for showings in July and August.
