Arts Week
Burko, Goldsworthy, Amador, Mondrian, Warhol and Kandinsky all made guest appearances last week in our Nursery and Pre-Prep as we celebrated Arts Week. Year 2 painted Kadinsky trees using a variety of media and created their own printed circle artwork using bottle tops and jam jars lids.
Year 1 had great fun painting their hands and printing Warhol inspired ‘Pop Art’ portraits. Reception headed out to the forest to collect leaves for their clay leaf print wall hangings and, with a novel use of dishwashing sponges, printed pictures in the style of Mondrian. The Nursery children in Kingfisher and Chaffinch class ended our fantastic Arts Week with a trip to the Towner Art Gallery to admire the paintings and sculptures on display.
