St Andrew’s Prep boasts a truly international presence and over the last two years, pupils from 16 countries have been represented, including Belgium, Bulgaria, China, Hong Kong, India, Korea, Malta, Nigeria, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Russia, South Korea, Spain, Turkey, and the United Kingdom.

Support with Extra English

To help international students become stronger in English, and to benefit fully from all the educational opportunities on offer, St Andrew’s offers extra English lessons to all our overseas students. The programme is tailored to suit each child. Children are assessed on arrival and recommendations are made to parents through their agent or guardian.

Assisted transfers

A local taxi company offers the school a personal service using regular drivers. Arranged through the Head of Boarding, the taxi company offers assisted transfers to airports (Gatwick and Heathrow) for pupils at the start and end of each term, half term and other occasions. Drivers accompany children to the check in and will personally hand them over to a member of the airport staff or will collect children from the airport staff and personally deliver them to St Andrew’s Prep.

A chaperoned train service from Eastbourne to London Victoria on holiday leave periods and at weekends for weekly boarders, as well as a school minibus service back from Clapham Junction is available.
