Bugsy Malone
Before the end of term, the Middles performed Bugsy Malone to a very appreciative audience. At times it was easy to forget the children were only ten and eleven years old, such was the quality of the singing and acting as well as the collective understanding of the humour, both subtle and slapstick. With a soundtrack of foot-tapping rhythms provided by Rob Cousins, excellent choreography by Olivia Williams – a Year 11 student from Eastbourne College, great costumes and clever scenery, this was a production that screamed enjoyment. Well done to Julian Rivett who directed and everyone else who helped to stage the show. It was worth all the effort.
