Lead Nurse

Eastbourne College Incorporated (ECi or ‘the Charity’) comprises St Andrew’s Prep ages 9 months to 13 years and Eastbourne College, ages 13-18 years, co-ed day and boarding schools. Both schools share the primary aim to educate children in a safe environment to lead happy, fulfilled lives. The schools provide a broad, modern and connected education that takes place in the classroom, the house, the games field, the assembly hall and the wider community.

A unique opportunity has arisen for an experienced Lead Nurse to be part of this engaged, talented and vibrant cohort, living and working in such a stunning part of the country.

As part of a wider team, the successful candidate will work collaboratively to ensure that pupils at both schools are medically cared for as appropriate in a school setting, using nursing and management skills, working within the parameters set by safeguarding and child protection policies and regulations.

The ideal candidate will be a Registered General Nurse and will need to demonstrate empathy and understanding and have an uncompromising desire to attain the best care for the pupils.

Hours: 37.5 hours weekly, 8am and 4.30pm, Monday to Friday, during term time (34 weeks) plus 5 weeks in the holidays. Holidays to be taken in school holidays. Holiday pay included in the salary.

Salary: Circa £42,000

St Andrew’s Prep is looking for a Nursery Assistant to provide a warm and welcoming environment to nurture happy, confident children.

This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday between 7.45am and 6.15pm, all year round. The successful candidate must be NNEB or Level 3 in childcare or Diploma in Early Years with experience of working with children under 24 months.

Eastbourne College is seeking a Relief Matron to cover maternity leave and support the boarding house Matrons on their day off and to support the health and well-being of pupils as part of the pastoral team and in liaison with all College staff, pupils, and parents.

Applicants must have a genuine wish to look after pupils and assist in the domestic running of a boarding house.

Salary: £17.47 per hour

Hours of Work: 2pm to 9.30pm Monday to Friday, term time only. Maternity Cover Only.
