Eco Code poster competition
A large number of pupils at St Andrew’s Prep have participated in the school’s first Eco Committee competition of the year. Pupils were asked to submit their suggested Eco Code which was to include a positive and clear mission statement, reminding everyone how to be more environmentally friendly. Our grown-up members of the Eco Committee, school governor Nick Elliott and school librarian Ruth Garrett, were involved in the difficult task of judging the Eco Code poster entries.
Congratulations to Year 6 pupil Amy, who was pronounced winner of the competition and whose Eco Code poster will be displayed around the school.
The Eco Committee is an initiative run by pupils, parents and staff to promote environmental conservation via activities including recycling, reduction of plastic waste and general environmental awareness.
