Extra-curricular opportunities a-plenty
The term’s extra-curricular activities at St Andrew’s Prep are underway! Our pupils are enjoying the opportunity to sample and excel in their chosen interests and are also relishing the chance to spend extra time with their friends under the guidance of our dedicated and talented staff.
Our after-school offerings are numerous and varied and, this term, include (but are not limited to) ballet, Brownies, chess, football, indoor hockey, jazz dance, Piglet’s pantry, pottery, rugby, Spanish speaking, swimming and rugby.
The school’s beautiful site with state-of-the-art facilities lends itself to a host of additional extra-curricular pursuits at other times of the day too. Before school, a large number of our pupils have been attending early morning training sessions in the pool, the dance studio, the sports hall and on the school fields and on Saturdays mornings the majority of our pupils in Years 4 to 8 have been registering to participate in a host of additional activities on site including badminton, board games, fitness, Fives, shooting, Trinity musical theatre and zumba, with golf, skiing and walks across the South Downs taking place off-site.
Importantly, these activities provide our pupils with the opportunity to develop their character, for example, creativity, organisation, motivation or bravery and it is a pleasure to see how the children flourish.
