Summer Term: Week 7 10 June 2022 The Chaffinch class celebrated World Oceans Day by learning about the wonderful creatures found in the ocean. Inquisitive Year 1s explored the dipping pond for plant life in Forest School Year 2 visited the historic Lewes Castle - one of the best examples of a motte and bailey castle in the country. The Year 2 pupils were fascinated by the Lewes Castle cannon which stands in a prominent position at the entrance of the castle grounds. The Year 2s climbed to the top of Lewes Castle to take in the stunning panoramic views across Sussex. Group pic at the top of Lewes Castle. Year 2 dressed as knights and ladies of the medieval era. Junior pupils enjoyed the calmness of the sea and the fresh air as they took some time out during Beach School The Junior girls collected natural items from the beach to make an offering to the Holy Well.
