Strings Day
Earlier this week a group of string players from St Andrew’s Prep took part in the Eastbourne College Strings Day, a music event featuring top strings players from the College and a number of other schools. The pupils had a marvellous experience working in sectional rehearsals before putting everything together to form a short concert that featured music by Corelli, Weber and the Beatles.
The audience were also treated to an excellent performance by the Eastbourne College String Ensemble that featured Vivaldi and a moving performance of the main theme from Schindler’s List. Many thanks to the College music department – a great day was had by all.
