Summer Ball
The Magic and Sparkle Summer Ball superbly organised by the Friends of St Andrew’s took place at the Cavendish Hotel on Saturday night.
It was a wonderful evening with more than 150 people supporting the event and raising in excess of £12,000 for the JPK Project and renovations to the St Andrew’s Prep pavilion. JPK is a local charity supporting adults with learning disabilities to live in the community independently. Monies raised at the ball will go towards building supported living accommodation in Old Town and towards a community centre which will help create suitable employment opportunities for these young adults.
The event was staged on a beautiful summer’s evening at the Cavendish hotel where guests were royally entertained by two former Androvians: Alex Brown, lead singer of the Big Kahunas and Sam Jones, magician and former Britain’s Got Talent finalist.
