St Andrew’s Prep in Top 50 UK Prep Schools for cricket
For the fourth consecutive year, St Andrew’s Prep is delighted to have been included in the Top 50 UK Prep Schools for cricket by The Cricketer Schools Guide 2022 magazine. It follows an exhaustive process which saw a record number of schools submit entries to be included in the guide, despite the ongoing pandemic. All entries were judged against an extensive set of criteria, which included a compelling commitment to cricket in the curriculum, facilities, fixture programmes and coaching.
Not only do the pupils at St Andrew’s Prep benefit from the fantastic coaching expertise of Head of Cricket, Mark Tomsett (MCC YC’s Captain and Sussex 2nd XI), and Cricket professionals, Rob Ferley (Kent and Nottinghamshire) and James Tredwell (England and Kent), but the wonderful indoor and outdoor practice and playing facilities on site. All of which allow us to host local cricket clubs in addition to school fixtures. All girls and boys, from Year 3 to Year 8, learn to appreciate the wonderful game of cricket and to achieve their own potential with many involved at local club, district and county level. We are thrilled to retain our position in the Top 50 UK Prep Schools for cricket.
