Young City Read
All of Year 5 and the Awesome Book Club Co-Curriculum group travelled to Brighton for an author and illustrator event. The children have been enjoying the story during weekly reading sessions in the library, as part of the Young City Read project. Across Sussex, many schools have also been sharing the same book. We all came together at The Brighton Dome to witness the illustrator recreating sketches from the story and the madcap author explaining to the children how he creates his stories, and reciting his poem about the perils of breakfast!
